About the course
As a occupational hygiene monitoring technician for air in the workplace, a wide range of skills are required. This 3-day course provides an insight into the diverse tasks of a measurement technician for occupational hygiene measurements in the air and on surfaces.
The focus is on sampling dusts, vapors and aerosols. The course is completed with a certificate after passing the examination.
Course objective
- In this 3-day workshop, the necessary knowledge is imparted and skills are developed. The workshop is completed with a certificate of attendance after passing the examination.
Contents
- Measurement techniques for gases, vapors, aerosols and dust in the air at the workplace
- Measuring techniques for surface wipe tests
- Basic knowledge of analytical methods from an occupational hygiene perspective
- Planning and execution of occupational hygiene exposure measurements
- Avoiding carry-over during the performance of occupational hygiene measurements
- Protection of the measurement technician and the measurement equipment
Competencies
- You have a good basic knowledge of measurement technology for occupational hygiene exposure measurements.
- You know the methods for air measurement technology and the associated analytical requirements, the measuring devices and accessories.
- You can present the observations and results in a report.
- You know the interface between measurement technicians and occupational hygienists.
Prerequisites
- Completed apprenticeship or corresponding professional experience
- At least 3 years of professional experience
- German or English spoken and written

Number of participants:
- The course is held for a minimum of 3 participants. The maximum number of participants is 4.
- Participants must bring a laptop with MS Office and an internet browser.
Course costs:
- Workshop: CHF 2,600 (incl. documents and meals, excl. VAT)
- The costs are to be paid after receipt of the booking confirmation and before the start of the course.
